Mr. Burgunder is the principal of the firm. He is a 1994 graduate of the University of Baltimore Law School and a 1991 graduate of Cornell University with a Bachelor's of Science degree.

Prior to opening his own law firm, Mr. Burgunder regulated charitable organizations for the State of Maryland and promoted business development in Maryland in the Department of Business and Economic Development.

Mr. Burgunder also teaches at the University of Maryland Law School as an adjunct faculty member. He has taught five semesters in the Legal Analysis, Writing, and Research program. This course focuses on legal writing in both a trial and an appeal. In addition to teaching, Mr. Burgunder is the co-author of Residential Real Estate Transactions, Chapter 6 - Pre-Closing Problems; the co-author of Practice Manual for the Maryland Lawyer, Chapter 12 - Real Estate Transactions in Maryland; the author of Effective Legal Writing, Maryland Bar Journal, Volume XXXII, November/December 1999; and the author of Effective Legal Writing: Preserving the Power of "Shall," The Advocate, Volume 16, Number 2, Winter 2001.
